Copper Water Bottle Care and Cleaning Tips

Copper bottle pouring water

Pure copper possesses natural characteristics of undergoing oxidation that results in natural dark patterns and an enhanced rustic look if left idle over a period of time. These are not stains or defects but signs of purity. Pure copper will also naturally develop a beautiful patina which will not detract from any of its numerous benefits. We recommend thoroughly washing your copper bottle with warm soapy water before first use and on a routine basis. Taking proper care of your copper drink bottle will maximise the health benefits it has to offer.

Here are a few natural cleaning tips for your copper drink bottle:

Method 1:

Soak the bottle overnight in a solution of water and one lemon juice. Rinse the bottle thoroughly in the morning. Rub baking soda to neutralize the acid followed by a wash with warm soapy water.

Method 2:

If the copper water bottle is heavily tarnished, boil it in a pot of water with one tablespoon of salt and one cup white vinegar. Rinse the bottle thoroughly. Rub baking soda to neutralize the acid followed by a wash with warm soapy water.

You can use these same methods to clean other copperware in your kitchen.
