The Black Yoga Mat is built to last from two biodegradable materials – eco polyurethane and natural rubber. The dense non-slip 3.5mm natural rubber base firmly grips the floor and will not slip. Many years ago, I bought the Cork Yoga Mat because I sweat easily. Its anti-slip properties when wet was perfect for me. But these days, I don’t sweat as much as I used to. During the winter/cold seasons, I barely sweat at all. Because of that, the Cork Yoga mat became too really slippery to use when I am dry. This new type of mat is heaven-sent! It is very grippy when both dry and wet and makes my pilates sessions safe and comfortable! Thank you very much for this product, Valka Yoga!
Great mat. Very grippy. Nice spacious dimensions. Not cheap but I would choose this mat again over others. Has slight smell but hopefully that will go over time. That’s the only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5. Good service, quick shipping.

In Love I received my new yoga mat and was so excited that I took her for a spin straight away! It is so beautiful and gives my practice so much more power. I really struggled to find a yoga mat. I looked at so many brands. I didn't want a mat I needed to spray with water or use with a towel. I also didn't want a mat with little fibres sticking to my clothing (an issue I've come across from fellow yogis). I needed something thick and very sticky for my practice, and I prefer a wider mat. This Valka yoga mat is fantastic and ticks all my boxes! Bonus: no funky 'eco mat' smells, and no need to 'break it in'. It definitely gets stickier as heat builds up in your hands and feet, which in my case doesn't take very long. I can confidently push my limits on this mat feeling supported and 'stuck in'.

My overall experience with Valka has been amazing. I had so many questions, Danny helped me make the decision and purchase the black chakra. Exceptional quality, love the length and the room the mat gives me to move and stretch.Bit heavier than expected but not a problem for me. No slipping or sliding, the grip is amazing. Thickness perfect for knee protection. After a session of hot yoga sweat marks seem to fade. I purchased the bag as well. Again lovely quality and roomy. Easy to get mat in and out. Note too self role mat so chakra symbols are showing. Otherwise it's very tricky to get mat into the bag. The base of the mat has fantastic grip so kinda sticks to fabric. Got my eye on a block for my next purchase. Hey Danny, Lost for words. Totally in love. Feels amazing and is visually beautiful. Done a few doggos. Will be put to the tomorrow with hot yoga. This is truly the best matt Ive bought. Took a punt with not seeing it in person and pleased I did. Great quality, grip and quality. You can feel it also with the weight. Also the service was superb. Replied to my emails promptly. Highly recommend the mat, and this company.
LOVE THIS MAT. Used outside on grass and on concrete, on carpet indoors, with boots on and bare foot and my goodness this mat is exceptional 👌 Yes, you'll see hand prints and foot prints and occasionally mark the mat surface, but usage brings a story to every tool, and this mat will be no exception. I love the subtle branding and beautiful symbolic depictions of the seven main Chakra and have appreciated the reminder to return to mindful consideration of them during practice. Highly recommend this mat and would happily purchase again for myself and friends.
Absolutely love the feel of this mat. It provides just enough cushioning and traction preventing slippage. And the design is beautiful.
Adore! Was looking for something extra grippy for hot yoga and this mat ticks all the boxes and more. The grip is insane on this mat - no more gradual sliding or needing to dig your fingers in to maintain a downward dog with bone dry hands and feet. Having that extra grippy-ness also takes the strain and effort off your shoulders and wrists and weirdly even helps with standing balancing poses. Cushioning is excellent and the clean, minimalist design and the chic black colour are very welcome bonuses to a very functional mat. It does need a bit of airing out when new so recommend having it out, laid flat for a few weeks to allow the new smell to dissipate.
I tried this black mat after living on my cork mats for the last few years. This black chakra-designed mat has a quality grip, suitable for any conditions. In class, some of my yogis said it looked nice, felt nice, and they didn't slip at all (when they occasionally did on other surfaces). I thought yoga mats are built the same but best believe this one is different! It’s so comfortable and provides the right amount of cushion and grip to hold those intense yoga poses. I also love that is was built with the environment in mind. My mat is truly a beautiful investment and I highly recommend!

Love, love, love this mat! I had been looking for awhile for a “proper” yoga mat when I came across Valka Yoga mats. It just felt right and I’m so glad I ordered one. Perfect size, and feel - not spongy, or too thin. And the grip is amazing! A cork one is next on the list….one for home, one for travel!🧘♀️💗
I have loved practicing on this mat since it arrived. Naturally with it being black I have noticed it shows footprints and what not more. But that just encourages cleaning & wiping down the mat after use. Also adore the chakra design on this mat. Thanks Valka!

Love my new black yoga matt. Non slip for those hot sessions. Great thickness as well as I often get sore knees.
I bought this mat as a gift to give someone before I went overseas. When I purchased it, it said it would be delivered by courier in 2-3 days. However, after 2 days I had not received it, and had to send 2 emails to customer service before getting a response. The mat took 9 days to arrive, by which time I had already left the country. The mat itself is nice but I was left feeling really disappointed with the whole experience.

I have been looking for a mat that I wouldn't slip on with dry hands. And finally found the one! It feels lovely to practice on and somehow with it's soft surface it still provides superb grip for dry hands. Love the subtle chakra design too. My best mat so far.

Great yoga mat, good grip but still easy to flow, unfortunately not as cushioned as I would have liked but hoping it might soften up a bit. Size is good, a bit longer than my last mat which is great. Happy 😊
Great mat. Grips well, good size and the chakras are a good point of reference for foot placement for postures. Excellent for hot yoga! Would love it if it was a tinier bit thicker.
